POSTPARTUM

After labor begins a whole new chapter.

Postpartum care, often referred to as the "cuarentena" or 40 days recognizes the critical need for ongoing support and care after the vaginal or cesarean birth of your baby, with care tailored to your individual needs.

Expect a nurturing and healing environment where you can fully recover, bond with your baby, and navigate the challenges of parenthood, while taking into account the physical and emotional demands of the postpartum period.

BABY

During postpartum care, the well-being of your newborn (vitals, feeding, latch, monitoring weight gain and output, and addressing any concerns regarding your baby's health) is highlighted.

To ensure that your little one receives optimal care during the early weeks, baby care guidance is provided (feeding, sleeping patterns, and infant hygiene) and specialized concerns will be monitored and referred to your pediatrician as needed.

FAMILY UNIT

It is important to nurture the relationships and environment of new parent(s). Support and resources to help strengthen bonds (such as guidance on effective communication techniques) are provided to create a supportive and loving environment for both parent(s) and baby.

Mother and/or partner can discuss their birth trauma (from birth, or other reproductive health visit or procedure). Learn what normal looks like for the event from a clinical perspective, and discuss tools and herbal medicine that may be supportive to process the emotions.
