Also my husband gained a very good understanding of the importance of his role and how he can support me in a wonderful way during this new chapter. Lauren accepted and supported my wish to give birth in a hospital. Thanks to her childbirth education class we were perfectly trained and new what to expect.

During the postpartum visits we gained confident and got all questions answered. Lauren also offered an amazing support during my breastfeeding challenges and kept me motivated to not give up.

“During the five and a half hours I labored at home with my first child, Lauren was wonderful. She was comforting, patient, and extremely helpful. She guided me through the waves, step by step, moment by moment. She helped me to stop clenching my fists and resisting the pain; she reminded me that I needed to let go of my upper body, let the waves go down, and allow my body to open. She made me feel safe and strong. She reminded me to moan low, not in a high-pitched tone. She recommended different positions, (I preferred to be on all fours.) She suggested I go to the bathroom because an empty bladder would make more room for baby to move down and she was right! After following her instructions, baby’s head began to crown. Not 15 minutes later, after pushing three times, my son was born. Lauren helped me to get him to successfully latch, and she and Cristina sewed up a small tear that I incurred, because baby came out with his hand on his cheek. Lauren was a true asset to me on that day. I am so glad she was there by my side.”
